This subreddit is night mode compatible(-ish) with RES. Violation of them will result in your post being removed or a ban. The comfort is a small factor though in my opinion but if you are heavy handed you might want something softer. Please read the rules. Its absolutely perfect consistency is why I use it, but it isn't as comfortable for your wrist. It's hard enough that you can't really feel your whole hand sink into it when pushed, but individual fingertips do sink in when pressed. Mid is definitely noticeably harder and about as hard as I'd ever consider a pad base being. This makes it feel a hair smoother (less "bumpy"), but still retains a little sink for your mouse and keeps that traditional feeling for your wrist to rest on if that's your thing. Soft is easily almost 1:1 to traditional pad rubber, but it also doesn't have the tiny air pockets that normal rubber has on things like the QCK. Only Zowie mice would benefit from this softness with their huge feet. If your mouse has small mousefeet this is 100% a bad idea. Xsoft I disliked immediately, it feels less like soft rubber and more like firm foam because it's SO soft. I have also tried XSoft, Soft, and Mid styles of several pads. It literally never changes it's feel after years of heavy use. Out of all of them I really like the initial glide of the original Hayate, but now that I've had a Zero for a while I have to commend it's consistency. At least mostly everything up until the last 3 years and including all the Artisan pads besides the new Hayate Otsu. Please respect the rules of the subreddit, flair your posts, and have fun!
